Why am I still a Catholic Democrat? PDF Print E-mail

Perhaps a few of us Catholic Democrats aren't all that impressed with what we've witnessed thus far with our executive and congressional Democratic leadership. So far the beneficiaries of any legislation have been the bankers and the generals who have raided the federal treasury of fortunes, with the health insurance corporate executives waiting in the wings to make their killing. Many of us are seeing a strong continuity with the policies of the previous administration. Add to that the personal insult of my having been "turned down" three times in March for our June White House tour requests, despite our having worked hard to elect the president and our winning Dubuque County by 10000 votes. My family has been Democratic Party members for one hundred years, but having been "turned down" I find myself "turned off" by the Party. Bill Cullen in Dubuque
